Liverpool is compact and it’s really easy to get around the city, most places are within walking distance.
University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University and LIPA can all be reached within a 5-10 minute walk. Due to the city centre location of St Andrews Place, there are also excellent transport links to Liverpool Hope University and Edge Hill University.
If you don’t feel like walking, there are plenty of buses and taxis in the city. These services run until late at night, with some bus services running into the night.
If you are planning to study at John Moores University, a free shuttle bus operates between all LJMU sites.
St Andrews Place is around a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street train station, where you can catch the train to pretty much anywhere else in the country. There is also a National Express coach station in the city centre.
The nearest airport is Liverpool John Lennon, approximately 25 minutes’ drive away. There are regular and over night shuttle buses running to and from Liverpool airport to the city centre daily. As well as bus services from the airport, there are regular trains from Liverpool South Parkway station. Click here for more information from Merseyrail.
There are also regular buses and trains to and from Manchester airport, less than an hour’s drive away.
